Bio

I’m a performance poet, author of one collection of poetry, two published short stories and a forthcoming novel.

I’m also a regular host for Apples and Snakes and guest compere at venues like The Ivy, Black’s Club, Madam JoJo’s, Soho Theatre; three-time performer at Glastonbury; Edinburgh Fringe show; festivals include The Big Chill, Secret Garden Party and Standon Calling.

My writing has appeared in literary journals The Pestle and The Nail and London magazines Trespass, Rising, Fuselit and Pen Pusher, the Oxford Muse book, 'Guide to an Unknown City,' and in Paul Burston’s anthology of gay short fiction, ‘Boys and Girls' and its follow-up ‘Men and Women.'

My first collection of poetry, Into Temptation, was published by Tollington Press in 2009 and my first novel, After My Own Heart, will be published by Limehouse Books in March 2012.

I’ve taught workshops as part of SHOUT Festival and for International Women’s Day in Birmingham, at Temple Newsam House in Leeds for both children and adults, and recently at the National Portrait Gallery and Anglia Ruskin University.

In 2012 I will be running workshops for senior members of the LGBT community in East London and will also be performing at UCL.
